Video Game Demonstrator
| ActionLink is currently accepting applicants for a Product Demonstration program for a major videogame publisher. The goal of this program will be to generate excitement and increase sales of the represented product(s) at retail.
The program will involve 10-18 hours of high energy, demo work each weekend.
-Demos are currently scheduled to consist of 5-9 hours worth of work on Saturday and Sunday each weekend.
-Each day of demos consist of 2-4 hours at one store, followed by an hour of drive-time/set-up time to a second location with a second 2-4 hours at that store.
-The tentative dates are 10/24-10/25, 11/7-11/8, and 11/21-11/22, but may be subject to change.
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
-Proven success as an assisted selling/demo representative within the videogame/consumer electronics fields. Preferably at a major retailer.
-Average physical condition. Demo events will require Reps to stand for several hours and interact with a small peripheral and perform basic physical actions such as jumping, rocking, and balancing on said peripheral.
-Much and varied experience in the playing and operation of videogames. Skills with videogames requiring peripherals a plus (Guitar Hero/Rock Band, Wii Fit)
-A dynamic, energetic personality and willingness to engage sales associates and consumers during 5 hour shifts.
-The skill and willingness to conduct in-store merchandising (stocking shelves, fixing price tags, setting up special displays).
-The availability to work all shifts (see above for specific dates).
-The availability to attend weekly conference calls (usually in the evenings) and all requisite training calls.
-The ability to quickly learn new information and train others articulately and effectively.
-As part of the recruiting process, candidates will be required to take a brief survey regarding their gaming experience
To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate a strong knowledge of gaming and videogames.
